Palermo Striker Dybala Will Join Juve, According to His Boss
Palermo coach Guiseppe Lachini has hinted Paulo Dybala will join Juventus this summer.
Dybala, 21, is Palermo’s leading scorer with 13 goals and 10 assists in 33 league appearances.
The Argentinian is a reported target for Arsenal and Manchester City, but Lachini says he will remain with the Sicilian club.
“Dybala is now a Juventus player and this club is working towards the future,” the coach told Sky Italia.
Dybala, who joined Palermo from home side Instituto in 2012, turned down a three-year contract extension in January.
His current contract runs until June 2016 and Palermo are willing to
cash in on him so as to avoid losing him on a free transfer at the end
of his contract.
Dybala has expressed his willingness to remain in Italy, despite interest from the Premier League.
“I admit it, I am very attached to Italy,” Dyballa was quoted as saying on Gazetta dello Sport.
“It’s here where I have become famous and I would like to stay here.”
Juve are reportedly lining up a €28m ($32m) fee for the forward.
